The Burks X3104GA7-1-1/2-MV is a Cast Iron Centrifugal Pump and Motor with a Bronze 6. 50 inch diameter Impeller, Viton/Carbon/Ceramic/Stainless Steel Mechanical Seal, 2 Inch Inlet x 1-1/2 Inch Outlet Ports, close coupled to a 1 Horsepower, 1750 RPM, 230/460 Volts, 3 Phase, XP Explosion Proof, 60Hz, 143JM nema frame electric Motor. This pump is the non-standard Viton seal version, which is used in this pump for higher temperatures, and chemical resistance. This compact Centrifugal pump is generally used in HVAC condesate return and boiler feed applications because of it's low NPSH, but it is also the best choice for any other application where a centrifugal pump is preferred. It is silent, and efficient, so it is ideal for convenient equipment location in offices, laboratories, public areas, and living quarters. Long trouble-free service life has made these centrifugal pumps acceptable for industrial uses or wherever clean or contaminated liquids compatible with Cast Iron and Bronze is to be transferred or handled. This Burks centrifugal pump has a single rotating enclosed bronze impeller of the latest hydraulic design for maximum efficiency. Liquid enters at the center and is thrown outward radically by centrifugal force. The impeller is not in contact with other pump parts resulting in quiet, efficient, pumping action. The flow produced is not positive which permits the discharge line to be shut off completely without danger of overloading motors or bursting lines, and consequently a relief valve is not required. The pump impeller is balanced for vibration-free operation and threaded onto a stainless steel motor shaft. The operating temperature limits of this pump depend on the impeller type and the standard Bronze impeller in this pump is suitable for fluid temperatures to 250 degrees F (121 degrees C). The pump shaft seal is a mechanical seal with ceramic seat and carbon seal face for maximum durability, and long trouble-free service. While this pump can be run dry for short periods of time, a lack of liquid will damage the Mechanical seal. This pump has a Bronze shaft sleeve - the gasketed and keyed hook-type sleeve protects shaft from wear and corrosion in seal area. The motor on this pump has explosion proof construction and is rated with pump motor service factors for continuous duty operation. This motor must be installed with magnetic a starter which must provide full 3-leg protection. Failure to use correct starter and overloads will void motor warranty. Motors are 143JM frame size with NEMA standard mounting flange, extended steel shaft and dual bearings.
