Product Information :

The Flojet LFP122-201 is a LF Plus Series Diaphragm Pump, CSA listed, with Polypropylene housing, Santoprene Diaphragm, Viton Check Valve, 316 Stainless Steel Check Valve Spring, 40 PSI Pressure switch, with 3/8 inch HB Straight Ports, coupled to a 12 Volt DC Motor. This pump is the ideal solution for many applications including spraying, fluid transfer, filtration, cooling, dispensing and pressure boosting, and has a robust material selection, suitable for handling a broad range of chemicals. This new LF Plus Motor Driven Industrial Pump is backed by Flojets diaphragm pump technology, a brand enjoying over 35 years of operational excellence, and replaces the LF Series. It is a self-priming so it can be located above the supply tank, and can accommodate up to a 6 foot left (1.8m). This pump has dependable run dry capabilities and can run dry for extended periods of time without damage, extending the life of the pump. The motor has a built-in thermal protector, and has low amp draw for battery-powered applications. The motor is intended for intermittent duty cycles but can be run continuously for short periods of time. The sealed pressure switch on this pump automatically starts and stops the pump when the discharge valve opens and closes, providing years of dependable reliability. The Pressure Switch setting turns the pump off at 40 PSI (2.75 Bar), and on at 25 PSI (1.7 Bar). It has 360 degree quick connect swivel ports allow for complete freedom of port orientation, a cost effective solution, minimizing the need for additional components. The Duty Cycle of this pump is Intermittent.

Applications

The Flojet LFP122201 can handle a broad range of chemicals and is designed for a wide range of applications including General Industrial Applications such as Chemical Washdown, Evaporative Cooling Systems, Fluid Transfer, RO Reverse osmosis Filtration, Food Processing, and Water Dispensing; Automotive Applications such as Fluid Exchange; Agricultural Applications such as Fogging / Misting, ATV and Backpack Sprayers. This diaphragm pump is selfpriming and can run dry without harm. It is intended for intermittent duty cycles but can be run continuously for short periods of time. This pump is fitted with a pressure switch and is known as a demand pump. The pressure switch is preset to shut off the pump motor automatically when 40 PSI pressure is reached, such as in closed discharge conditions. The pressure switch turns the pump motor on automatically as the pressure drops, such as when the discharge is opened. Demand operation is considered an intermittent duty application. The maximum intermittent duty cycle is that which will cause the motor to reach its maximum thermal limits. Once the maximum thermal limit is reached, the motor must be allowed to settle to a lower ideally ambient temperature, before resuming operation. Running the pump at or near the maximum thermal limit for an extended period of time will shorten the life of the pump and may result in immediate pump failure. Demand pump models feature an integral pressure switch that automatically turns the pump off/on in response to open/closed discharge conditions. To start and prime the pump, the discharge line must be opened to allow trapped air to escape, thus avoiding the potential of airlock. For this pump model, the pressure switch will shut off the pump automatically when the discharge valve is closed and the pressure has risen to the switch OFF set point. The pressure switch will restart the pump when a valve is opened and the discharge line pressure drops to the ON set point of the pressure switch. Mount pump vertically, with pump head down or horizontally in an accessible location. Do not compress feet with mounting screws. Use 3/8 inch I.D. flexible hose preferably braided or reinforced. Use hose clamps on the slipon hose barb connectors. CAUTION Install a Flojet inlet 40 mesh strainer in an accessible location for inspection and cleaning between the tank and pump inlet. This strainer or equivalent is required for pump warranty to be valid.
