Price : $ 1527.58
The Groco BV-3000 is a Full-flow 3 Inch Flanged Ball-Type Seacock with 3 Inch by 3 Inch Ports. This Seacock has a tri-flange base and mount hole pattern to provide an easy retrofit when replacing most popular brands. It is a Full flow valve with Stainless steel ball and stem, and PTFE seats and seals. It has a drain plug on both sides, and the base has a bonding attachment. This Valve is serviceable while installed. The handle has a square hole to accept a standard ratchet, to help reach valves in hard-to reach locations. Use this feature to break loose a stuck valve or to reach the handle in an inaccessible location. Exercise caution when operating the valve with a ratchet handle attached as the added length provides a mechanical advantage that could damage the valve handle. This BV series seacock includes the patented user-selectable handle rotation feature. If seacock location does not allow unobstructed handle operation, you may change the rotation direction by relocating the set-screw. The set-screw may be removed all-together if 180-degree handle rotation is desired.
WEIGHT : The Groco BV-3000 weighs 24 Lbs.
Install the BV3000 seacock in accordance with ABYC H27 onto a backing block of suitable material for wet bilge areas. The backing block serves to further spread the load, but not directly on the hull section through which the thruhull fitting penetrates. Some installers prefer bolting through the hull and backing block, while others will bond the backing block permanently to the hull, and then bolt into the backing block, but not all the way through the hull. Either installation is acceptable. Depending on the combined backing block and hull thickness, the thruhull fitting length may need to be reduced so it does not bottom out inside the seacock before proper compression is achieved. No regular maintenance is required. It is recommended that the valve be operated at least monthly to assure free movement and to prevent the buildup of nuisance marine growth. If service is required, these BV series seacocks allow infield disassembly. Remove the cap screws that secure the top nut. The nut can now be unscrewed to allow access to the ball and seats. Stem seals are accessible from outside the valve by removing the handle and stem lock nut.
