Product Information :

The Iwaki MX-400CV7 is a Centrifugal Magnetic Drive Pump end, 56C frame, 3/4 HP rated, with GFRPP Glass Fiber Reinforced Polypropylene casing, GFRPP Impeller rated for 3/4 HP, high density carbon Bearing, Alumina ceramic Spindle, FKM O-ring, with 1-1/2 inch NPT inlet by 1-1/2 inch NPT outlet ports, replacement pump end only without a Motor. This is a pump end only and requires a 3/4 HP, 3450 RPM, 56C Nema frame, round body motor. This pump is a centrifugal magnetic drive pump, which eliminates the need for a shaft seal. This seal-less centrifugal magnetic drive pump ideal for applications such as chemical re-circulation, chemical transfer, scrubber systems, and various production processes such as filtering, spraying, washing and etching in surface treatment process. This MX series pump is the first resin magnet pump that uses a split volute pump casing that forms a vortex chamber. The volute limits the liquid flow from the impeller and returns it to the pump, which is efficiently guided to the discharge port to enhance overall efficiency. The stress load bearing portions, such as the front and rear casings, are reinforced by means of ribs to improve the pressure resistance and the mechanical strength of the pump. The bearing is not only fixed by conventional press fit but is also sandwiched between the abutting portion in the depth of the magnet capsule and the rear end of the impeller to improve its reliability under high temperature. By installing the driving magnet and the driven magnet in an inventive way, the movement of the magnet capsule is controlled by magnetic force to prevent the rear thrust and the rear portion of the bearing coming into contact with each other continuously even during dry running. This structure reduces heat generation and secures lubricant routes. It has a patented self-radiating structure with heat dispersion holes provided in fixed portions of the impeller and the magnet capsule, the liquid around the spindle and the bearing is forced to circulate so that heat generated by friction can be reduced effectively, thereby preventing any thermal deformation and reducing wear. This pump is fitted with a carbon bearing that will allow for brief periods of dry running. This pump utilizes a standard NEMA 56C frame motor making it easy to install.

Applications

There are many applications that the Iwaki MX400CV7 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include chemical recirculation, refrigerators, small scrubbers, detergent mixers, computer cooling, carbon arc furnace cooling, and various production processes such as spraying, filtering, plating, chemical transfer/blending, and etching in surface treatment applications. The MX Series represents the latest state of the art design in plastic magnetic drive pumps to meet the most severe of operating conditions. Liquids containing slurry cannot be handled. The pump performance is influenced by the specific gravity and the viscosity of the liquid being pumped. A liquid which is heavier or more viscous than water influences the shaft power, discharge capacity, and head. Pump performance is not influenced by the change of liquid temperature; however, the temperature will affect the viscosity, vapor pressure and chemical corrosion. Refer to a chemical resistance table for the permissible temperature for specific chemical liquids. Frequent stopping and starting may cause pump damage, so you must keep the start/stop frequency to within six times an hour. The pump is not selfpriming. Before the pump is started, prime the pump with pumped liquid. Dry running causes seizure and quick wear of parts. Do not run the pump dry. When the pump is operated for the first time after it was installed or after it was disassembled and repaired, fill the pump chamber with the liquid to be pumped. If the pump runs dry without any liquid, rubbing parts of pump will seize. The moving or rotating parts of MX pumps are lubricated and cooled by the pumped liquid. The pump will be damaged if run dry or with the suction side valve fully closed. If the pump runs dry by mistake, switch off the power and leave it for more than one hour to cool it down slowly.
