Product Information :

The JMP JPR-C1905 is a Cummins Replacement Engine Cooling Seawater Pump, replacement pump for Cummins pump model 3866609, with Bronze Impeller, 2 inch hose ports. This is a replacement pump for Cummins pump model 3866609; and Jabsco pump model 18770-0003. This pump can be used as an non-OEM replacement raw water engine cooling pump for Cummins engine models K19, K38, KT19M, KTA19M, KTA19M3/M6, KTA19-D(M1), QSK19, QSK19-M. This flexible impeller Raw Water / Seawater Engine Cooling Pump is designed and manufactured especially for engine cooling applications. This pump has a strong bronze body, with heavy duty grade casting, a 3X series non-magnetic marine grade shaft, a long life mechanical seal, long-lasting high perfomance impellers, and O-Ring seals on the end covers. The design allows spare parts to be easily replaced. It has a high volume flow capacity. This flexible impeller pump is self-priming and provides an efficient solution to most raw water pumping needs. This pump can pass fairly large solids without clogging or damaging the pumps. This engine cooling pump is designed to the demands of engine manufacturers and are built to take rough treatment. This Pump has one moving part - a tough, long-lived, wear-resistant flexible impeller lubricated by the liquid being pumped. No metal-to-metal pumping action - no gears to jam, clog or become noisy. It will not air Lock - the pump will continue to operate even when air passes through the system, and it delivers a smooth even pulsation free flow. The Flexible Impeller in this pump generates high rubbing friction unless lubricated by the liquid being pumped. A lack of liquid will cause the impeller to degrade rapidly. On initial start-up pump must be primed to prevent dry-running of the impeller. This pump is self-priming, and will self-prime at low or high speeds. It will pump instantly, and a suction lift of 15 feet is possible when impeller is wet and pump fully primed. Suction lines must be air tight in order for pump to self prime.

Applications

Typical Applications for the JPRC1905 pump are for Engine Cooling. This flexible impeller pump is selfpriming and therefore, it is ideal for engine cooling. The bronze body and stainless steel shaft are well suited for marine environments. Liquids that are compatible with the neoprene impeller can be pumped including fresh and salt water solutions and mild chemicals. Do not pump gasoline, severe solvents or acids. When possible flush pump with fresh water after each usage. This pump can also be used in other Marine applications such as a bilge pump, deckwash pump, washdown, emptying holding tanks. It can also be used in Industrial applications such as liquid circulation and transfer, emptying tanks and sump drainage, and handling of solids in suspension. This JMP flexible impeller pump combines the priming feature of positive displacement type pumps with the general transfer ability of centrifugals. It will pump either thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps. It operates at low or high speeds can be mounted at any angle and pumps in either direction with equal efficiency. This pump has a rotating impeller that carries the liquid from the inlet to the outlet port. A vacuum is created as the flexible impeller vanes straighten upon leaving the cam, drawing liquid into the pump. When the flexible impeller vanes regain contact with the cam, they bend and the liquid is discharged from the pump in a uniform flow. Liquids can be pumped in the opposite direction by reversing the rotation of the pump. As a consequence of it's design, this flexible impeller pump can pass fairly large solids.
