Product Information :

The Jabsco 30520-3001 is an epoxy plastic Flexible Impeller pump with a Neoprene Impeller, Carbon/Ceramic Mechanical Seal, 1 Inch NPT Internal Ports, replacement pump end only without a Motor. This is a replacement pump end only for the 30520 Epoxy Plastic series with everything but the motor. Use these pumps where single or variable speed operation and Plastic Epoxy material is desirable. They are self-priming, 22 gpm flow, debris tolerant. These pumps are self-priming and will prime at low or high speeds. For a vertical dry suction lift of 10 feet (3m) a minimum of 860 RPM is required. Pump will produce suction lift up to 22 feet (6.7m) when wet. Be sure suction lines are airtight or pump will not self-prime. This unit depends on the liquid pumped for lubrication. Do not run this pump dry for more than 30 seconds as a lack of liquid will damage the impeller. The operating temperature limits of the pump depend on the impeller compound. The following ranges apply for Neoprene impellers : 45 degrees F to 180 degrees F (7 degrees C to 82 degrees C). A neoprene impeller is good for water and general purpose pumping. The rotation of the pump shaft determines the location of the pump's intake and discharge ports. Pump is normally assembled at factory for clockwise rotation (looking at end cover). For these pump head-only models which require you to provide the motor, select NEMA 145 TC-frame C-face motor rated at 1-1/2 HP at 1750 rpm with appropriate service factor. Motor must handle high-axial loads. Front ball bearing locked against axial movement is recommended. Motor must deliver 4.8ft-lbs and 11.2ft-lbs torque minimum in forward and reverse directions, respectively. Use only capacitor start motors.

Do NOT pump gasoline, solvents, thinners or other flammable liquids.

These pumps can be found in use pumping acids and alkalis.

The corrosive nature of the electro plating process makes these pumps ideally suited to stand the harsh environments they may be exposed to. Typical chemicals used may include sulphuric acid, hydrogen peroxide and aqua regia.

They are also popular in the photographic industry as they are ideally suited at pumping photographic development chemicals.

A high resistance thermosetting plastic pump body.

Servicing and clean out is a simple operation.

Hard Solid Handling: Passes hard solids or abrasives with minimal wear or damage.

Non-Shear Action: Will handle delicate fluids.

Pulsation Free Flow: Delivers a smooth even flow.

Applications

This Epoxy Plastic Jabsco flexible impeller pump combines the priming features of positive displacement type pumps with the general transfer ability of centrifugals. It will pump either thin or viscous liquids and can handle more solids in suspension than other types of rotary pumps. It operates at low or high speeds, can be mounted at any angle and pumps in either direction with equal efficiency. Typical Applications for this pump are Circulating and transferring corrosive liquids. Returning spilled liquids to process. Transferring foaming solutions with entrained air, such as soaps and detergents. Sampling and pilot plant installations. Handles pure solutions, acids, alkalies, photochemicals, dyes, detergents, waxes, gels, solutions with suspended solids and emulsions. Filtration of plating solutions. Filling and emptying vats. Adding chemicals for pH balance. Processing lab solutions, medicines, lotions and preparations. Filtering pharmaceutical solutions. Transferring liquid fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
