The Jabsco 30550-3102 is a 316 stainless steel Flexible Impeller pump with an EPDM Impeller, Tungsten Carbide/Nitrile Mechanical Seal, 1 Inch Clamp Type Ports, replacement pump end only without a Motor. The Tungsten Carbide Seal variation in this pump is used for pumping liquids that contain abrasives or are highly corrosive. SELF-PRIMING Primes at low or high speeds. For vertical dry suction lift of 10 feet (neoprene impeller), a minimum of 860 RPM is required. Pump will produce suction lift up to 22 feet when wet. TEMPERATURES The operating temperature limits of the pump depend on the impeller compound. The following ranges apply: Neoprene impeller - 45 degrees to 150 degrees F (7 degrees to 65 degrees C). These Hygienic flexible impeller pumps are especially useful where self-priming is required and are also very effective in pumping viscous or air-entrained food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical products. At lower speeds, they also handle delicate liquids very well owing to their gentle pumping action. Jabsco Hygienic Flexible Impeller Pumps handle low and high-viscosity liquids, gels and pastes and can pass suspended soft and hard solids with minimal damage. Virtually any liquid with viscousity up to 20,000 centipoise can be pumped as long as there is chemical compatibility with the pump materials. The output flow is smooth, steady and totally pulsation-free and their gentle pumping action will not breakdown shear-sensitive or fragile liquids. Designed to be cleaned in place or easily strip-cleaned, Jabsco flexible impeller pumps frequently offer a more suitable and cost-effective alternative to many other pump types.

Unit depends on liquid pumped for lubrication. Do not run dry for more than 30 seconds. Lack of liquid will damage the impeller.

Applications

Pumping of food pastes, sauces, dough, and other high viscosity media. High viscosity products can be moved by these pumps over large distances with a significant starting head. Cosmetics, toothpastes, shampoos, soaps and pharmaceuticals are also pumped by flexible impeller pumps. Minimal shear on the product is exerted, making it ideal for shear sensitive beauty products. If the product is thixotropic, the shear rate will not cause additional structure build up. The beverage industry also uses flexible impeller pumps. The application areas are; wines, beers, soft drinks, fruit juices and syrups. The flexible impeller pump is capable of passing whole fruit berries through the pump without causing damage. This is due to its unique mode of operation; the solid particle can enter the SPACEbetween two impeller blades and be passed out the other side without having suffered any damaging effects.
