Price : $ 255.75
The Little Giant 582098 is a 4-MD Magnetic Drive Centrifugal Pump, replacement Pump End only, no motor, with a 1/2 inch FNPT inlet port by 1/2 inch MNPT outlet port, replacement pump end only without a Motor. The Little Giant MD series features leakproof, seal-less magnetic drives and are designed for in-line, non submersible use. Volute and magnet housing are glass-filled polypropylene for excellent chemical resistance. Impeller is glass-filled polypropylene and ceramagnet A" (barium ferrite). Shaft and thrust washers are titanium for excellent wear and trouble-free service. Pumping heads are easily rotated, cleaned or serviced with no special tools required. Spindle shaft is supported at both ends to prevent impeller damage during start-up and stop of pump. The pump's volute and housing are made from glass-filled polypropylene; its impeller, glass-filled polypropylene and ceramagnet "A" (barium ferrite); its shaft and thrust washers, titanium; and its O-Ring, Nitrile. This pump uses a 6 foot power cord with a 3-prong plug, ball bearings, and a thermally protected, ope, fan-cooled motor. It can pump liquids with a specific gravity of 1.1. It can handle fluids with a temperature of up to 150 F, and an ambient air temperature of up to 77 F
WEIGHT : The Little Giant 582098 weighs 2.17 Lbs.
There are many applications that the Little Giant 582098 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include Circulation of mildly corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, brine, plating solutions, sterile solutions, and other mildly corrosive chemicals and solutions that are compatible with the pump's material of construction.
This pump is assembled and tested at the factory, and is ready for immediate use. It may be installed in any position, including vertically with the pump head down. To ensure proper plumbing connections, see the SPECIFICATIONS table to determine the intake and discharge sizes of The pump. Use thread sealer on all pipe connections and handtighten only. Tighten all wing nuts before operating the pump. The motor nameplate lists all electrical data. Make sure the pump is connected to proper voltage before operating. When wiring a pump with no plug, the green or green/ yellow wire is ground, and the other two are line live. Do not allow the pump to run dry without liquid. This pump is not submersible; operate it only in the inline mode. Do not put the pump into liquid. Install the pump in a dry area, protected from splashing. This pump is not self priming; it must be installed so that the pump head volute is flooded when the pump is started. That is, the inlet of the pump must be below the level of the surface of the liquid being pumped Figure 1. Do not restrict the intake side of the pump. Connections on the intake side should not be of smaller inside diameter pipe or tubing or hose than the intake inside diameter of the intake thread designation. If reduced flow is required, install a valve or other restriction device on the discharge side. When using a valve, the pump can be throttled to provide various flow rates and pressures without harming the motor or the pump parts
