The Little Giant PE-1 is a catalog # 518200, Small Submersible Industrial Pump, Epoxy Encapsulated, Direct Drive, rated for 170 GPH gallons per hour at 1 foot of head open flow, with a 1/4 inch MNPT outlet port, coupled to a 1/125 Horsepower, 115 Volt, single phase Motor that has a 6 foot cord. This is a small submersible epoxy encapsulated pump for commercial, industrial and home use. Applications include statuary fountains, water displays, air conditioners, machine tool coolants, and many other applications where liquid must be transferred or recirculated. This compact 170 GPH pump features a 1/4" MNPT discharge, 7' shut-off head capability, screened inlet and a 6' power cord. The pump requires 115 V at 60 Hz, and uses a 1/125 HP epoxy encapsulated motor. It has a maximum flow rate of 170 GPH at 1 foot, a maximum head of 7 feet, and can pump liquids with a maximum temperature of 120 F. It uses a screened intake, and a 1/4 inch MNPT discharge. Its housing and cover are made from glass-filled polyester; its volute, screen and impeller, polypropylene; and its shaft seal, triple lip Nitrile. This pump uses an epoxy encapsulated motir and a 1/4 inch MNPT discharge which accepts 1/2 inch I.D tubing. It has a 7 foot maximum lift, and requires 36 watts. It is protected against impedance, and is designed specifically and exclusively to be used in submersible applications
WEIGHT : The Little Giant PE-1 weighs 3 Lbs.
There are many applications that the Little Giant PE1 are used in. Typical applications for this pump include Water transfer or recirculation, and water displays.
This pump may be used submerged or inline. It may be positioned at any attitude, but preferably with the volute located down or to the side. The weight of the pump must be supported adequately. DO NOT support the pump by the discharge connection alone. The pump may be supported by using the two mounting holes in the back of the pump. These holes accept 8 selftapping screws. Hole depth is.37" DO NOT exceed the hole depth. Do not restrict the intake side of the pump. This may cause damage to the seal and may starve the pump. For reduced flow rates, place a valve on the discharge side of the pump, or if flexible vinyl tubing is used a clamp on the tubing to restrict the flow. Do not let the unit operate dry. It is cooled by pumping fluid. You may damage the seal and the motor may fail if the pump is allowed to run dry. If the unit is going to be idle for a period of time, follow the cleaning instructions outlined in the usr manual. Do not let the unit freeze, as this may cause cracking or distortion that may destroy the unit
