WHAT IS THE DIAMETER OF YOUR SUMP
PIT?
If your sump pit is less than 14 inches wide, you
need a vertical float switch. Larger sumps basins
(14 inches or wider) accommodate either vertical or
tethered float switches. Please note in the charts
below the minimum sump diameter.
HOW MUCH HORSEPOWER DO YOU NEED?
In general, the more horsepower, the better. Pump
performance depends on how high and how fast your
want to pump the water. Please note in the charts
below the motor electrical details.
IS AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET NEAR THE
PUMP?
All listed pedestal and submersible sump pumps have
a three-pronged, grounded plug and a 115-volt, 60
cycles, single-phase motor with overload protection.
A three-wire grounded receptacle is needed above the
floor near your sump. Do not use an extension cord.
Please note in the charts below the cord length.
